Kawah Ijen is a famous volcano located in Indonesia. It is famous because of the blue flames that it emits, but to the locals, it is valued for one specific reason. Sulfur, or as it is locally called– “Devil’s Gold”, can be found in the depths of the volcanic crater. The locals are indulgent to mine this material, even at the risk of their health and lives.
