Muse: Love Matters

“He hadn’t loved me well in the end, but he’d loved me well when it mattered” — Cheryl Strayed

This quote has stuck with me for quite some time. So many people come and go over the years, relationships build and then dwindle. Who are those people in your life that have made a lasting impression? That you have learned something from, appreciated and felt deeply cared by even though you may not be in a relationship of any kind with them any longer?

To me, it’s these people that are the building blocks that shape who we are. They make us stronger, help guide us and leave us with the tools to get through life’s continuous game of curveball challenges, heartbreaks and successes.

It’s these people I am grateful for. Not only are they the ones that taught us something that has proven to be instrumental in life, but they have also taught us that it’s ok to let them go, carry on, and be grateful for the mark they’ve left.
