You taught the birds on high to sing,
Enthroned and crowned me as a king;
You taught the rainbow how to glow;
O Love, you lift me up to fly on mighty wings.

No matter what I write, I know
That you are there, waiting below:
For all my art, you are my muse.
O Love, you give me grace to be myself: to grow.

Words have always been my art. They dance for me and sing for me. They laugh for me and cry for me. They are my paint and brushes. They are my clay.
