What is a “Devout Christian”?
Devoted, pious, religious
My co-editor on Prism & Pen, James Finn, sometimes describes me as a “devout Christian.” I’m certain that evangelical leaders like Franklin Graham and Pat Robertson would not agree, calling their brand of judgmental religion truly “devout.” In fact, I’m certain they would agree that I’m not a “real” Christian, devout or not.
