Safety Reps are mobilising and putting LSM management on notice in a safety campaign aimed at duty of care, safety standards, and workplace bullying. A recent spate of complaints and concerns via Delegates and HSR’s were ignored by management.

As part of the new campaign the AWU members are embracing the Liberty GFG Corporate strategy of “zero incidents” and “zero injuries.” The AWU will roll up their sleeves to achieve this with HSR’s and strong support from members.

A round of mass meetings were held at Liberty Noble Park site and organiser Craig Kelly was horrified to hear that this site has the highest injury rates in GFG and a safety consultant has told a delegate that there is an 80% chance of injuring yourself if you work at this site.
