It is the festive season and without sounding like a nagging parent there are a couple of things to remember this time of year.

Christmas parties and celebrations hit your calendar from early December and we want you to have a great time and get home safely. Everyone has a duty of care, and needs to look after themselves and each other during celebrations.

Make sure of…

  1. Location-where is the event and how will you get yourself there and back home safely.
  2. Alcohol-If you are planning to drink alcohol, please ensure that you drink responsibly. There will most likely be plenty of non-alcoholic drinks available on the night, and food, make the most of those options.
  3. Transport-It is a no brainer. Don’t drink & drive. Use public transport, ride shares or taxis.
  4. Photographs-Taking photos of your mates is fun, but make sure you get permission from the people in the photos before uploading it to social media.

The Christmas Party is an opportunity to celebrate and enjoy yourselves. However, please remember the party is a work function and disciplinary action can be taken as a result of things done at a Christmas party. Have fun but be careful.
