About Me — Marcia Frost
If you’ve been looking through my stories, you might think I do not have a consistent niche, but nothing could be further from the truth. Everything I write is a lifestyle subject I have unique experience in.
The Story of Me
The best place to begin is always the beginning. I was born in Bronx, New York, to parents who never let their disabilities stop them from enjoying life. We traveled on three week vacations yearly, alternating East to West and North to South, exploring every state we went to. When I was 11, our trips moved to airplanes and then overseas.
I always wanted to be a writer. It was short stories in the early days and all fiction. I finished my first book at 18. It was a novel that was never published. I wanted to write novels in my Malibu beach home.
My focus had changed by the time I finished my B.A. in Journalism. I was only 19, but I had been immersed in the world of entertainment, from writing and editing for New York’s Nightlife Magazine to running the newspaper at Long Island University’s CW. Post.
Always A Writer
I was going backstage to interview The Beach Boys, hanging with Pat Benatar for an in-depth story, attending Broadway previews, like one for Richard Gere in Bent.
