Every time I listen to Kivimetsan Druidi’s fast songs, it feels like the skies would darken with storm clouds and the earth’s tectonic plates would float up in the sky. The band has excellently concocted a very potent style using a fusion of hyper-fast blast beats, folk melodies, symphonic embellishments, and their female vocalist’s opera-style singing. So potent, that the fantasy* vibe and imagery radiating from their songs can be felt in an instant. *Their lyrics were based on the fantasy novel, The Land of the Crystal Mountain and Stone Forest, written by one of band’s founders, Joni Koskinen.

Aside from the blast beats, another musical aspect I really like from the band is their use of fast humppa-style beats.
