Their sick heavy grooves alone are enough for them to be considered an apex band in the Indian sub-continent.

Bloodywood came as an exciting surprise when I was scouring the South Asian region back and forth within a span of years since I started listening to folk metal worldwide in the late 2000s. I was instantly amazed and captivated by their music, which took me back to the days when I was into nu metal, but this time, the sound has a fascinating and strong folk flavor to it. Their nu-metal is much more groovy and more dance-y because of the folk elements, but the aggressiveness is still there, heightened by meaningful lyrics.

Their main ethnic instrument is the dhol, a drum that is endemic to much of South Asia. Another readily noticeable folk quality from their music is the used of folk melodies that is reminiscent of Indian folk songs, the bands primordial inspiration.
