What sets ThunDarkma from other South American folk metal bands is their extensive use of aerophones, particularly siku panflutes, minus a usual omnipresent charango. Moreover, their style is more extreme, employing grinding death metal elements, particularly blast beats and growls and screams. Surprisingly, they are able to pull off the fusion of folk and metal in their sound.
