**This story relates to the muzeroom.com app, which feeds you music news for artists as you listen to them on Spotify**

We’ve had some feedback that some users are having issues using Spotify with the MuzeRoom app.

This is a relatively quick and easy fix and we’ve detailed the steps below.

FOR ANDROID USERS [Download on Google Play]

Your device needs permission from Spotify to understand what artist you are playing. To do this you need to enable ‘Device Broadcast Status’ within your Spotify settings as follows:

  • Open your Spotify app.
  • Tap the ‘home’ button (bottom-left of your screen)
  • Tap the Settings button (the cog icon — top right of your screen)
  • Tap to allow ‘Device Broadcast Status’ so that it is green (as pictured below).
Make sure this is switched on to green
  • Start a new song playing in Spotify.
  • Go back into MuzeRoom. MuzeRoom will now detect the artist playing — congrats! You’ll get music news for any artist you are listening to on Spotify from now on.
  • If this hasn’t worked, please contact us on info@muzeroom.com

FOR APPLE USERS [Download on iOS]

  • Open the MuzeRoom app and tap the settings icon (top right)
  • Tap ‘Connect’ next to Spotify
  • Enter your Spotify login details.
  • Tap ‘okay’ to connect MuzeRoom and Spotify (pictured below)
  • Start a new song playing in Spotify.
  • Go back into MuzeRoom. MuzeRoom will detect the artist playing — congrats! You’ll get music news for any artist you are listening to on Spotify from now on.
  • If this hasn’t worked, please contact us on info@muzeroom.com

Thanks for your continued support, and enjoy using MuzeRoom!
