If Only He Could Quiet Those Voices Down….
Fat chance.
Sometimes we choose not to see God at all, and then it gets in the way of lives. It gets in the way of our writing, too. For Peter, a ghostwriter, those were his demons: a lot of doubt, suicide, the trials of being a father and husband. Like GOOD WILL HUNTING or GIRL, INTERRUPTED, we face those demons and we then receive help from the oddest of places — like a mental hospital called “Whitehill.” You see, Peter really didn’t want to die, but he came close. As Christian fiction goes, THE WHITEHILL GHOSTWRITER reminds us all that sometimes God is inside us this whole time, and it takes a few strange people — and perhaps some words on paper — to remind us of that.
