With the NFL Draft rapidly approaching and the 2023 NFL regular season out on the horizon, many are wondering where Anthony Harris might land. The free-agent safety is coming off a solid campaign with the Philadelphia Eagles but was only under contract for one year. He’s taken his time throughout this free agency process and wants to ensure that he makes a decision that’s best for himself and his loved ones. However, just because he hasn’t jumped out onto a new team, doesn’t mean he’s not getting better each and every day.

This past week, Harris has been awfully active on social media when it comes to his training. Multiple photos and videos were shared by a professional photographer of Harris working out with some other athletes and friends on the beach. As most of you might know, beach training is one of the most intense types of workouts that a professional athlete can do. The reason being is because of the resistance that the sand gives on top of the intense heat that’s glaring down on you. The group was running through a number of difficult drills in the intense heat to keep on getting better while staying in shape. Thoughts of retirement from Harris should be completely out of the question given the work he’s putting in off the field. He also shared some content of himself in the gym, eating healthy, and maintaining a rhythm to keep himself in tip-top shape. Looking at some of his captions, he looks ready to go even harder. He said, “I go the hardest then I’m pressing repeat.” Another post read, “Focus and Execution through motion.”

Also seen in his beach training images was Marc Bowron, a top-rated professional trainer that specializes in athletic performance. The exercise physiologist helped run the drills and keep everything together, and he’s certainly got experience in making players hit their maximum potential. For example, Bowron has worked with a few other great NFL players, including the Buffalo Bills starting safety Jordan Poyer. Poyer in particular is one of the best players at his position, and if he’s been working out with Bowron, there’s no doubt he’s impacted the trajectory of his career. Another well-known NFL player that’s worked with him is Will Harris from the Detroit Lions. Simply put, Bowron isn’t a trainer to take lightly, as he’s helped multiple other starters in the league improve their game, and Anthony Harris is ready to join that list moving forward.

As for where this ramped-up training might take him, we will have to sit back and wait. He’s yet to speak out on where he would prefer to take his talents or when he might be making a decision on his future in the NFL. He does have time before training camp and OTAs begin though, so there won’t be a rush. Given the work he’s putting in though, it does feel safe to assume he might be thinking about making a decision sooner rather than later.
