All Good Things Must Come to an End

Over a year ago Frank Bertola and I realized we had so many conversations about wrestling that we should probably start recording them. We both have such a passion for professional wrestling and saw an opportunity to share our thoughts and ideas with you through The Wrestling Fix.

What simply started as a weekly podcast morphed into something really cool. With the help of our new additions Connor Allen, Mike Morris, Tom Colohue and Bill Fehlhaber we were able to launch a web-site, record 3 podcast episodes a week and cover all different promotions from WWE, ROH and NJPW as well as fantastic independent promotions like WrestlePro, Paradise Alley Professional Wrestling and the Xtreme Wrestling Alliance. We were moving!

Along the journey, life really started to get in the way of producing the best content we could, and we would never want to do anything less than 100% because we have too much respect for the professional wrestling business not to. Our schedules are all so different and we are all hitting points in our lives where free time is extremely hard to come by. Further, to have that free time line up to record a show or brainstorm our next project became very challenging.

The professional wrestling podcast and news market is so incredibly saturated, and to ask a wrestling fan to take time away from listening to true professionals like Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Jim Ross, Wade Keller, Sam Roberts, Peter Rosenberg, Lance Storm & Cyrus, Bruce Prichard & Conrad Thompson, Dave Meltzer & Bryan Alverez, Edge & Christian and so many others is a big request. These guys know the business inside and out, and while the fans’ perspective is also extremely valued in today’s world of wrestling, there are also so many people in that arena that are so incredibly good at what they do and established in the market. It would be naive for us to expect the ardent wrestling fan to choose us over them. To those that did, we cannot thank you enough.

With all of that said, we have decided to end to The Wrestling Fix.

I would personally like to thank each and every one of you who listened to our podcast, read our articles, retweeted our banter, and wrote in suggestions and questions. Your support and interaction meant the world to myself and our team.

I would like to send a huge thank you to the wrestlers, Richard Holliday, Dylan Stiffwood and Nick Delta, who took time out of their busy schedules to join us for the show, openly tell their story and have fun. Chatting with you guys was an absolute blast and we wish you all the best moving forward.

Lastly, I would like to truly like to thank the team: Frank, Connor, Mike, Tom and Bill. We made a tremendous group and it was an absolute pleasure putting our minds together to produce unique content that we had so much fun creating. I appreciate each and every one of you more than you’ll know.

Ladies and gentleman, wrestling is such a beautiful thing. If you were to look at the group we assembled you would see that not one of us are alike at all. Sure, we share common interests and all consider one another friends, but professional wrestling brought us together to create those friendships and I am certain there are stories like that all over the world. No matter who you support, whether you are partial to WWE or prefer Ring of Honor & New Japan Pro Wrestling, we are all one family cheering on a cast of characters that folks on the outside will never understand. It is truly something special that will always be a part of us.

Thank you so much to everyone who made this possible. We appreciate every bit of it. Until next time, you knew where to come for your fix.
