Before you dive too deep into this article you might want to tell Clint Hurdle to turn his head first or tell your grandpa to take his blood pressure medicine. This is not an article for those that believe in all the unwritten rules of baseball. You know what I mean the kind of guys that hate watching guys like Javier Baez have fun while they play the game. Look I know that many people say some players are disrespecting the game with their bat flips and no look tags, but isn’t baseball supposed to be fun?

You may disagree with me completely on this, but maybe guys like Javier Baez, Yasiel Puig, Bryce Harper, and many others are on the right track on how to attract young fans. Even Major League Baseball is starting to warm up to the idea of a little flash in the game. In 2017 they even made a video of the top Bat-Flips in the game.

Now how can anyone watch that and not love seeing it? It’s fun to watch and fun is something Major League Baseball needs to market and sell badly.

Washington Nationals, superstar, Bryce Harper made a bold statement in 2016 when he showed up with his Make Baseball Fun Again hat.

He got a lot of negative feedback from people, but I think he was on to something with that statement. No people I'm not suggesting we speed up the game, and I’m not saying we need to make any major changes to the game at all. What I’m saying is it’s time for announcers, reporters, and fans to let the boys be boys. Let them have fun while they play and stop treating it like a simple bat flip or a no-look tag has somehow thrown the baseball world into a tailspin or something. After all, it is called the GAME of baseball.

So to all the haters out there that think the late greats of the game would hate seeing these players today I leave you with these quotes from a few of the greatest.

It’s time to appreciate a Javy being Javy for what it actually is and that’s that there is nothing purer within the game than Fun itself. #MBFA
