Break Your BYOB-Challenge Project into Smaller Bites

Diving a little deeper into your theme.

Hopefully by now you’ve chosen the theme for your Blog-Your-Own-Book Project. And you’ve validated with some sample readers, to make sure it’s something they’ll really want to read.

And maybe you’ve got a system set up for organizing your project.

So, now let’s start thinking about breaking that project down into its parts. Today I want you to think about your overall theme and come up with at least four or five smaller themes within it.

Think of these mini-themes as the sections or chapters of your book.

When you publish your book, these mini-themes or sections will help you to organize the final product. And they’ll help you choose which blog posts to write in August.

So, think about your theme. Start brainstorming what you want your readers to come away with when they read your blog posts as a group — in book form. These themes might become chapters in your book, if you organize it that way. But even if you don’t, they’ll be very helpful to you as you’re planning your project.
