I love stories that explore a whole universe — a series of interconnected stories means you never truly have to leave the world you’re sucked into. And the best part: no book hangover.

One of my favorite universes to enjoy is the Marvel universe. I’m not sure how I became so sucked into these stories — I never read the comics. I rolled my eyes when I was in my early years of college and my friends all wanted to go see the first movies in full regalia. I avoided the cartoons of my youth with a passion when my brother had them on.

But somewhere around the start of the new Spider-Man series, I got sucked in and I needed to see them all.

That was also around the time that I decided I wanted to be an art history major with a pop culture emphasis in college and also began studying writing more and more.
