Three Things The Gurus Never Tell You About Highly Productive People
This wouldn’t sell a $1000 class. But it’s pretty cool anyway.
I’m a highly productive person. In fact, one thing I have to be careful of is tempering my own productivity a little when I’m teaching, because it can freak some people out.
I get this sometimes: I’m never going to be able to do as much as you, Shaunta, so why bother?
Yikes. I don’t want anyone to feel that way. But, yeah. I’m a highly productive person.
Here are three things I want you to know about being highly productive that the gurus out there trying to teach you how to be more highly productive never talk about.
1. Productivity isn’t evenly distributed through your life.
The reason my students think I’m highly productive is because I am, in the area of my life they’re focused on.
I write a lot. I generally finish the writing projects that I start.
I’m hyperfocused on writing and my writing business. So my students, who are starting their own writing businesses, are looking at my writing and business productivity.
