Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “The writer is an explorer. Every step is an advance into a new land.”

I wonder if he ever said something like that to Louisa Mae Alcott. According to the Ralph Waldo Emerson House website, he let her use his library and encouraged her writing.

Spend at least ten minutes today advancing into a new land. One where you get to make up the rules, things work out the way you want them to, and time stands still for a while when you visit.

One you get to populate with interesting people, places, and things. Situations. Magic. Tragedy. Love. You are the builder of this wild new land.

Pick up your pen or your keyboard and go forth into it.

While we’re here, I wanted to offer you a free manual that offers some magical editing advice. No strings.
