I’ve been writing online for a year now, and honestly, I never thought I’d last this long. I kept telling myself that I would never quit. And my goodness, it’s been one hell of a ride. Thankfully, I’m still here.

After twelve months of experimenting, practicing, and creating, I’ve learned so much as an online writer. I’ll dive into twelve of these lessons. Hopefully, it will help you avoid the stupid mistakes I made.

Lesson #1: Self-belief above everything

‘Believe in yourself.’

You may have heard a variation of this cliche so many times that you probably rolled your eyes reading it. But trust me, it’s a fact of life.

To attain any level of success in life — business, health, and relationships — self-belief is non-negotiable. It’s what convinces you that you can be great at something, despite the impostor syndrome you feel.

The beginning of my online writing journey was a cesspool of doubt and depression. Most days I felt like a fraud because I had no fucking idea what I was doing.
