V/H/S/85 is an interesting entry into the found horror genre.

Friday’s movie for 31 Days of Horror was V/H/S/85. This is the sixth film in the V/H/S franchise. It was released on Friday on the Shudder streaming service. If you like horror and want to watch a variety of horror films and television, then Shudder is your go to.

V/H/S/85 is a found footage horror anthology consisting of five shorts ranging from the supernatural to religious. Overall, I liked the different segments. I’ve always enjoyed these types of films because they’re original stories that provoke thoughts.

The first short is “Total Copy” directed by David Bruckner. Between the other segments, viewers discover more about Rory, a mysterious figure that is being shown examples of human culture in the form of television and movies. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention. Rory isn’t human. However, Rory is starting to turn into a copy of one of the scientists that study Rory.

The second short is titled “No Wake/Ambrosia” and is about a group of friends that are vacationing at a lake. Everything’s peachy until a sniper opens fire on them while they’re boating on the lake. The survivors of the shooting are left with one mysterious question… why? The short film ends with the survivors deciding to go after the person that hunted them.
