Five Warning Signals from the Universe You Shouldn’t Ignore
#5. The unpleasant cocktail party.
We have a terrible habit of not listening to the people who love us most, and then we throw our hands up when everything goes wrong.
“If only I had listened to my mother.”
“If only I had listened to my mentor.”
“If only I had listened to [insert person you never listen to but should].”

But they are not punishments from the universe, but the universe’s way of teaching you the two main things in life: patience and humility, because it knows these are skills you will need.
- Unfortunate encounters. Doesn’t it happen to you that every time you go to do something you know you shouldn’t do — smoke a cigarette, skip your diet, sneak a drink — someone you know shows up? The universe says, “I’m looking at you.” And that embarrassment you feel — even though you…
