Doing the Dirty and Getting Paid!
There are so many writing opportunities out there
Happy Sunday!
The start of the year is awesome for freelance writing opportunities and honestly, the past couple of weeks have literally had hundreds of them! As this momentum goes on for a few months (before the summer slow down), I’d highly recommend reaching out and making as many contacts now because it never hurts to have a bigger network.
Big writers on Twitter seem to have a few publications in their bio but think about the other side of what they’re trying to say — they’re successful because they tried more than once! Having regular work from 3+ commitments means yes, you’re very busy, but you’re also going to get paid. Careers are complicated and it takes time to find the right balance for you. So the more experiences you have (and the more people you work for) the better you’ll find your place. And what do freelancers want more than balance?
WE LAUNCHED A PRODUCT LAST WEEK — THE FUTURE COMPETITIONS LIST!!
If you’re a gifted writer (unlike me) and have a knack for doing well in competitions, then it pays to apply to a few more. We’ve collated a list of upcoming competitions and look to update this list every month. It’s awesome because most competitions pay the top 3–5 people so if you manage to find your way to the top, hello pay day! Moreover, having a competition victory in the bag never hurts a job application!!
We also have another product launching this week. So stay tuned!!

Calls to Pitch
I try to ensure all the positions are well-paid, and if not, they’re helpful in some other way. Our readership varies from new writers to established writers, so some jobs are better for others. Either way, if you have any questions, get in touch with me or the employer, see how you can help, and grow your network! I try to only show remote jobs, but sometimes allow odd interesting jobs to pass through.
