Rows of tulips enrobed in red velvet stand captivated,
having paused in midst of all their rush
to marvel at the soft light of the sun –
I, too, bask in your love.

The trees in all their verdant variations
reach their limbs ever higher, stretching on tiptoe
at the top of their earthen mats –
I, too, yearn to be nearer to you.

And here you are in this warm breeze,
lingering on my lips and lifting my curls.
You whisper your love to me and I am listening –
with all five senses and my soul, I listen –

and I am saturated with joy, loving and being loved by you.
