Turn your back to the victim mentality.

Some people look as if the world is divided into victims and oppressors as if there were individuals only doing good and others only doing wrong.

Adopting this simplistic mentality is dangerous and requires us to lie to ourselves deeply. Honestly, reflect on if everything you've been doing is purely good or only bad. Are you always a victim, or are you always an oppressor?

You can put the victim lenses quickly and assess everything that happens to you is due to some evil forces working against you. At first, this seems like a comfortable place to live. Everything is because the world hates me, and I am a victim, mainly because others are targeting me.

Taking responsibility is a daunting action; it takes courage and acceptance, and with this, we may be able to change something, but only some. A more challenging task is when we face catastrophes, but we cannot do anything about it. We are confronted with accepting that luck and randomness play a massive role in our lives.

If you like putting things into boxes, you may consider adding another box to your victim-oppressor and adding randomness into the options.

It is not your fault; it is not others' hate; it is just bad luck.

Ye said, "I have turned my back on the idea of victimization mentality" in an interview with Big Boy.
