NEW YORK CITY — Daniel Penny, a Marine veteran who used a deadly chokehold on homeless man Jordan Neely on the New York City subway last year, was found not guilty in a verdict delivered after days of jury deliberations and courtroom back-and-forth.
Daniel Penny, a former marine, was found not guilty of the chokehold death of Jordan Neely. Choke holds are forbidden in the NYPD. As a former Marine, he was better trained than the Police departments in all of the US.
Could he have subdued him without killing him?
Police said Neely did not have any weapons on him.
