Many humans refuse to start at a place where they can’t see themselves.

Denise argues with Carla while enjoying lunch in her kitchen.

“I don’t understand you. You keep refusing these jobs because….?” Denise demands stirring her salad.

“They want me to start at the bottom,” Carla explains, sipping her grapefruit juice.

“What the hell is wrong with starting at the bottom?” Denise demands, dropping her fork into her plate, and easing back into the chair. “All of us were born small. None of us were born as adults.”

“I have a master’s degree in Business Administration, I can’t see myself down there,” she defends her decision, rolling her eyes while swaying her head.

“You have to start like a seed first. That is how we start in the womb before we become babies. Then after birth, we grow and become adults while learning,” Denise explained.

Carla kept swaying her head.

“Like a plant, after a few months, your productivity grows root, then starts to grow. Then you will see yourself,” Denise suggested.
