Necessity, they say is the mother of all inventions. This saying is just true. The scarcity and the high cost of tomatoes both the paste and the fresh in my area led me to try an alternative.
I mean, I tried new method of making rice-stew without using tomatoes.
To start with, I am not the person who discovered cooking or making stew with carrot and cucumber. I don’t know when people started making stew with the combo. I heard about it the moment we couldn’t afford the high cost of tomatoes. I also saw where it was prepared, it popped up on my social media news feed.
So, my family tried it.
We have eaten it for more than 4 times this year. The first time I used the combo, cucumber and carrot for my family Sunday’s stew. It was yummy!
This is not to exaggerate. Cucumber and Carrot Stew for rice tastes better than using tomatoes. To prove to you about my claim, we have added this new discovery to the family menu.
