Woman: Do Everything Possible Not to Lose Yourself
Losing oneself is more devastating than losing a prize. Let’s talk.
In the movie “The Color Purple,” Sophia is a woman who knows what she wants — self-interest.
She divorced and remarried at a time when women didn’t have a say in their community. In that era, women rarely called out a woman who ruined other women’s lives, but Sophia did, and…
Last, she was tortured by the wife of a Mayor. The mayor’s wife, a woman like Sophia, ruined her life and that of her children.
VP Harris lost the presidential election. The result didn’t move me because, in the back of my mind, I knew what many women could do to their own — not only White women but other women.
Right, gender and race/class played a significant role in most US presidential elections. But remember, she lost by a percentage point and had more votes than most presidential candidates in the modern US presidential elections.
As a woman, do everything possible not to lose yourself -self-interest.
VP Harris lost. I wept because she lost herself to everyone and everything. Nikki Haley, a woman, also lost herself.
