During this tumultuous time, young Americans are watching and actively taking part in our country’s political landscape. The decisions being made today will shape our tomorrow, and progressive young people across the country are stepping up to take action, advocate for vital issues, and make our voices heard.

To that end, the High School Democrats of America Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) Caucus is excited to launch our first-ever virtual publication, The Young Politicasian! The focus of The Young Politicasian is on opinion and analysis pieces with a young AAPI perspective on national politics, as well as personal essays from young AAPIs. We aim to amplify the voices and stories of progressively-minded young Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders across the country, lending our perspectives to the stories that are shaping our country’s political and social landscape.

If you are a member of the HSDA AAPI caucus, or a progressive AAPI high schooler interested in our mission, we want to hear from you! Submit a completed piece or a story idea at bit.ly/youngpoliticasian.

We are also accepting applications for staff writers on a rolling basis! If you are interested in contributing regularly to The Young Politicasian, learn more about joining our team at bit.ly/politicasianstaff. Contact our Editor-In-Chief at aanikaeragam@gmail.com with any questions.

Make sure to subscribe to our publication on Medium and follow our caucus on Instagram @hsda_aapi!
