I watched a video about a “mukbanger” YouTuber called Nikocado Avocado. He became morbidly obese, sick, and mentally ill while filming himself binge eating.

But wait: what is mukbang?

Mukbang is a type of video where people eat a lot of food, sometimes in a short amount of time, while filming themselves.

These videos get millions of views on YouTube.

When I discovered Nikocado Avocado, I was shocked. How could someone crave the views (and the money that comes with it) to the point of risking their health?

And why do people take the time to watch their videos?
