Zap December Update 2018

Unlike others in this fast emerging space, we are one of the few blockchain tokens to be connected to a real live functioning product. We have taken our whitepaper and turned it into something tangible. With the technology in place, the seeds have been rooted and the platform can continue to grow.

Our mainnet contract release is set for January 2019!

This beta release advances the platform off the kovan testnet so that real ethereum can now be used!

Soon, some of the first oracles will be developed and utilized with the beta mainnet release.

Here’s how to be one of the first to be able to interact with the live Zap platform.

  • This allows you to create a wallet that is capable of bonding or redeeming Zap with an oracle on

  • Here is where you can discover oracles to bond to through

Zap Oracle Template

  • This is where developers will find a template for designing, initiating, and maintaining their own oracle.

Zap Truffle Template

  • This is a template for creating onchain oracles in addition to smart contracts that connect to the Zap platform.

Web Admin

  • The web admin is for managing Zap accounts and for creating and bonding to existing services.

Zap Term

  • CLI for interacting with the Zap platform, for managing Zap accounts, and creating and bonding to existing services from the command line.

As a resource, here is a three part video series from oracle developer Max Inciong where he details how to create an oracle through Zap Oracle Template and set bonding curves.

The Zap developers will continue to fine-tune all our Github repositories leading up to the release which you can view here:

Zap Android Contract Builder

Along with our beta mainnet contract release, we are testing our contract builder in January for the Android. As a recap, here are some of the features:

- Create an Ethereum account with a mnemonic phrase recovery seed

- send/receive Ether

- Create, edit and save smart contracts on devices, and

- Compile, deploy, and interact with smart contracts right from your local device.

Yerevan State Medical University

From the 26th through the 30th of November, the Armenian medical university of 7,000 students held their annual scientific week for young scientists. On the second day, where the topic of discussion was “Collaboration as a Key to Scientific Success,” Peter G. Mikkelsen, an adviser to Zap and director of business development at BlockTech, a company also involved with Zap, spoke to students. Peter outlined blockchain technology and explained how the oracle ecosystem and smart contracts can be beneficial for medical science. Talks are ongoing with the university, which involve designing medical oracles on the Zap platform.

Yerevan State University

The Alumni and Career Center at YSU organized a training session with BlockTech, which took place November 28th, called “Blockchain without Borders.” Peter Mikkelsen presided over this presentation as well. The training session taught students the history of blockchain technology and the creation of cryptocurrencies. Peter then advanced the discussion to the present by outlining the need for the Zap oracle platform and how oracles play a crucial role in the next great steps for blockchain technology.
