We are glad to announce our very first public Ask Me Anything session, or AMA, on our Telegram channel!

We’ve been getting thousands of questions lately, and while we think we’ve answered them all, we want to give the community an opportunity to go straight to the top! This is one of the best parts of the crypto world: the genuine connections we can forge with our communities.

To do that, our CEO, Guy Melamed, will be on hand Wednesday the 25th of April 12:30–2PM GMT to personally answer your questions. Anything you want to know, ask and you shall receive (information, no one’s giving away crypto) and we’ll update this post with the best questions and answers for everyone to see!

Q: Do you have any partnerships with gift card suppliers besides Zeek?

A: Yes, we actually just closed a new exciting deal yesterday and we’ll share specifics with you in the next few days. We have 4 more major partners in the pipeline aside from that.

Q: When does the Public sale start? Is there a specific date? Also what are the biggest brands you are most excited to be working with?

A: The exact date of the public sale will be determined in the future, but right now we are aiming for Q2 of 2018. Regarding brands, I’m most excited about brands like Amazon because of the variety and global reach they have.

Q: Why do you need your own token?

A: Besides the ability to pay with the ZIX token, it has many utilities, some of which are:
1. ZIX holders will get priority for high-demand gift cards.
2. The token will be used as a pledge to enable instant transactions.
3. The ZIX token helps with fraud prevention and double spending prevention

Q: I know Zeex should be easy to use, but is it as easy for someone that just started dealing with crypto-currencies? How can I be sure this will be the simplest crypto-cash out I can deal with?

A: No matter how long you’ve been in crypto, 3 taps is 3 taps. We know that the simpler it is for the consumer, the easier adoption is, and that’s the biggest issue in crypto now!

Q: Why is the hard cap so much higher than the soft cap? Why is the hard cap $50M, that is a lot of money!

A: 55% of our raised money goes to working capital (actually buying gift cards as inventory) because in order to create an economy that will make an impact, a major inventory is needed from day one. That’s the main reason for the relatively high amount. Regarding the difference between soft cap and hard cap — the soft cap will allow us to start only in Europe, mainly in terms of capital. The hard cap will allow us to start globally.

Q: Will Zeex provide a physical gift card?

A: Zeex provides virtual gift cards, but in the case of visiting a brick and mortar store, you can also tap in your app to display the gift card’s barcode for the cashier to swipe.

Q: Will Zeex’s retailer list keep growing? What if there’s a retailer I’m not finding, and I’m interested in?

A: Yes, exactly for that reason we are doing the token sale to make this economy so the retailer list will keep growing. One of the utilities of our token will be that volume holders can impact growth and expansion of merchants in certain geographies by voting!

Q: Bitcoin’s transaction risk period is a couple of hours, Ethereum’s even shorter. How does Zeex using this matter and what is its transaction risk period?

A: We are well aware of that and it’s part of the pledge token’s utility, depending on the transaction. We hold the pledge relevant to the payment method’s risk period. You will receive the gift card immediately, even if the full transaction takes longer.

Q: Can I use Zeex to send someone a gift card? Got a few friends in mind:)

A: Our initial release will not include gifting, nevertheless i can definitely see it in our roadmap. Btw, you can easily send your voucher code/virtual gift card to anyone you like, love, or just know so they can use it themselves!
