We crossed the finish line! 2,715km and 19 days after we set out from Latvia, we rode across the line in Southampton, UK greeted by a cheering crowd.

What an amazing feeling!

Absolute joy and overwhelming relief. I couldn’t wait to get out of lycra and never so much as look at another saddle so long as I live.

The ride’s been amazing, it’s drawn loads of attention to the issue of human trafficking. We’ve shown a lot of people that terrible social injustice is going on in their neighbourhoods, in their nation and not just on the other side of the world. Now all the exhausting climbs, the rain, the almost-collisions with lorries are over.

The challenge? Well, that goes on. That goes on until every ‘Zoe’, every victim is free. It’s only over when their exploitation is.

As a result of everyone’s efforts we’re close to having full finance for a second hub. That means that this year we’ll put another team of specialist investigators into the field. That means everyone who’s rooted for us, sponsored us and ridden with us has taken the abolitionist movement one step closer to the end of human trafficking.

I hope more of you will come along on the adventure from here.
