Procedure

Install Dolby-On

  1. As long as you don’t have a professional mic or an earphone with a good mic, we highly recommend using the mic of your phone only.
  2. We strictly recommend you to use Dolby-On instead of your regular sound recorder. It automatically enhances the quality of your recording and deletes almost all of the background noise. Note: You cannot edit pre-recorded audios in this application. You have to record directly through it.
  3. Download it on Play Store or App Store.

Prepare

  1. You can choose to do it solo, or collaborate with anyone else. For the record, you can ask anyone to narrate the article. They will be given due credits.
  2. Ensure there are no disturbances in the background. There should be nothing but your voice. Lock yourself in a room maybe.
  3. Do not forget to turn off any fans or coolers. AC can work.

Step 3: Record

Format of the voice recording:-

  1. No Greetings!
  2. Start with clearly saying the title of the article and the subtitle, if any, followed by the author’s name (and the narrator’s name, if different from the author).
    Example:
For Authors: “Should India be Renamed as Bharat? by Ishan Dhyani”
For Narrators: “Should India be Renamed as Bharat? written by Ishan Dhyani and narrated by Abhishek Singh(Narrator’s name)”
  3. Start with the main content of the article. No abstract. Don’t use the word ‘Introduction’. This should be read from the article published on our platform, or a draft shared to you. You may choose to remove any content if you think it should not be read, but you cannot add any content.
  4. Ensure there is good voice modulation, matching with the tone of the lines.
  5. Conclude the main content.
  6. You can leave a ‘Thank you comment’ for the listeners in the end of your experience of writing with us, but nothing else. This can be a minute long.

Step 4: Prepare the audio on Dolby (Highly Recommended)

If you want to do any editing with your recording, you are free to do it! Just don’t add any music or any strange audio effects. Try to reduce the background noise as much as possible.

We may reject your audio submission if it has too much background disturbances. Listen to these audios and judge yourself.
