Small and large scale businesses, both were struggling to stay afloat in 2020. The one thing that has caught up in the year 2020 is social commerce.

Abhinav Jain — The Podium

Episode 34, 1st January 2021 — Speaking to The Podium- a network of podcasts, the Founder & CEO at Shop101, Abhinav Jain talks about how different an online and offline business is. This is what he has to say, “Building a product and building an organisation are two different things”.

At Shop101, the primary focus has not just been on helping people set up their business but it also focuses on the journey of the resellers as well. Shop101’s aim has been to empower and encourage people to start their own businesses and without any investment.

An IIM graduate like Abhinav Jain was always clear about starting a venture of his own even though he was aware of the risks involved, the challenges and struggles that awaited him at every step.

That didn’t deter his vision and he decided to take the plunge and begin his entrepreneurial journey. Getting into the startup bandwagon has its own share of pros and cons. But today this startup has grown into a community of resellers, providing work from home opportunities and a chance to earn extra income, to anyone who wants to become an entrepreneur.
