Every year the fashion industry collectively comes up with a colour or two that they’d like to use in their collection. Pantone colour key system has also introduced some unheard of shades but ones that are definitely worth a try! The colours are selected, keeping in mind warm or cool overtones, seasons, nature inspired and more. After a lot of thought, fashion enthusiasts pick the colour of the season and showcase an entire range of their products in that shade, to start a trend.

The colours of the season for the year 2021 are said to be Ultimate Grey & Illuminating. With the grey skies over us and monsoon in full swing, I am not entirely surprised by this perfect combination of sunshine (illuminating) or a gloomy day (grey). For those of you wondering what these shades look like together, here goes:

Warm and cool tones do blend together and individually too. Ultimate Grey is one of those shades that can make your accessories really stand out. You can wear all possible colours of accessories with grey! From hats to sunglasses, from shoes & bags to jewellery, you can literally go all out with the Ultimate Grey. Check out how using an earthy tone like tan can also look classy with this pantone shade.

You can also put both the trending colours together and rock the look. On the Shop101 app, you can find a wide variety of options in these tones. Check out one of the looks that you can shop on the app, using the product code given below the image.

If you’re into capsule wardrobes, then both these colours are perfect to own and pair your other clothes with. Also, it doesn’t have to be just apparels! You can also go for footwear, a good bag and may be even a belt.

When it comes to fashion, it isn’t about what trend you follow. It is more about how you want to make a statement yourself. Believe me, it isn’t all that hard to do that, as long as you are happy with the outcome. Mix a little, experiment here and there and you can have a very stunning look in place!

So, if you had to choose between these two colours, which one are you most likely to experiment with? Whichever one you choose, go with the other one😛 as that will give you more to experiment with. So, may as well put your creative foot forward and have some fun with fashion!
