Hi, all! Please find below a regular development status report, this one covering the period from Dec 24, 2018 to Jan 6, 2019. Within this timeframe, we were strongly focused on the Adaptive Dark Theme Design (development in React/Redux components), further SDK and Token Circulation System evolution, and hard working on other tasks.

Adaptive Dark Theme Design

We have assembled the new unified web application, with the following front-end components integrated:

  • Main page;
  • Game page;
  • Game menu;
  • User menu;
  • Registration window;
  • User authorization window;
  • Referral program statistics.

This functionality above is 100% complete and is undergoing the process of stabilization. The functionality below is currently under development in React/Redux components:

  • Tokens Deposit;
  • Transaction history.

Tokens Circulation System (TCS)

TCS has moved to the next stage that includes the dynamic choice of a hot wallet. The latter can be used for ABYSS token withdrawal (on request). While preparing the TCS’ technical solution we paid special attention to securing a safe storage of keys inside the system: 14 possible attack vectors have been reviewed, measures allowing to minimize the risks threats were also considered.

Infrastructure evolution
Based on a large-scale research results, we have selected and already tested the system for metrics collection and analysis. This visual system (Datadog) helps to gain a full understanding of The Abyss platform combined (technical) components current condition. The system will be implemented in Q1 2019.

Key 2018 technical highlights

We would also take this opportunity to share The Abyss development 2018 key highlights. From the start of the project back in May 2018, 2000+ of tasks were set in our corporate Jira account. The anniversary 2000 task was set on Dec 26, 2018.

During 2018, we’ve published over 100 Jira User Stories, each of them included the following sub tasks:

  • Technical specifications development;
  • Layout design;
  • Writing Technical solutions;
  • Server software solutions development;
  • Browser client app development;
  • Desktop app development.

Aside from that, there were numerous researches, tests, removing the gaps, code optimization and refactoring.

As our vision was transforming, during 2018, we have revised The Abyss platform design concept three times. Prior to coming up with the final version of our new look, we have developed two visual concepts (Prototype -> Pre Alfa Version).

The Abyss team has increased, reaching 25 employees (in Development/ Marketing/Administration and Legal departments).

Finally, according to GitLab statistics, the team have written over 440 MB of code in Web-frontend, Server-backend and Desktop repositories. To reach this level, 4000+ commits were made.

2000 commits in Web-frontend repository
1769 commits in API-backend repository

Well, that’s it for today. The Abyss Team will keep you up to date with the development progress twice per month. The next report is scheduled for January 21, 2019.

Stay tuned! We have much to show you already this year!
