The Abyss to Release Encased, a Sci-Fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG
Another crazy game is coming to The Abyss, so please welcome! We reached an agreement with Black Tower Entertainment, a popular video games publisher, and their first game to be released on The Abyss will be Encased a Sci-fi Post-Apocalyptic RPG. The first playable version of the game will appear on our platform this year, while various game editions already available for pre-order.
Developed by Dark Crystal Games studio, Encased is an isometric role-playing game in a sci-fi post-apocalyptic setting. It was inspired by the first two Fallout instalments, Divinity: Original Sin, Baldur’s Gate, Pillars of Eternity and alike; while some members of the development team were involved in creating such games as Divinity: Original Sin 2, Age of Decadence, Life is Feudal: Forest Village and others.
Encased encourages exploration and appeals not only to old fans of games like Icewind Dale, Torment and Shadowrun but to the newcomers as well. Being a sort of a tribute to the best games of the genre, it is adopting their essential aspects and brings new features that improve and develop the genre even further.
In 2018, 2,938 backers who pledged €105,745 on Kickstarter crowdfunding platform, helped to bring this amazing project to life.
Key features:
- An open world full of non-linear adventures and mysterious ruins of the lost civilization to explore and investigate;
- Customizable and upgradable weapons, armor helping to survive in a post-apocalyptic world;
- Mysterious artifacts and relics hidden in the abandoned labyrinths and facilities of the Forefathers, each having unique properties;
- Numerous residents of the desert that can be hired, persuaded or threatened to follow your cause.
- A range of factions, from freedom fighters and priests to the raiders and military orders. All factions are different and have their own unique vision;
- No classes. The versatile system of skills and attributes lets players customize their own characters any way they want;
- Tactical turn-based combats with multiple types of enemies, from mutated wildlife to ancient combat robots.
Encased is the game where the virtual world will react to all the actions. A settlement saved from the raider attack can be the place to find new trusted friends, on the other hand, a pillaged village is a good place to find valuable loot. It is always up to you to decide.
