Below are just a few of the things that you will be able to do on the platform.
1. Create A Tailored Project Presentation Page
To feature on the platform founder will need their own project presentation page. To begin, you will be able to pick from a set of templates proven to be successful for other similar projects.
If you choose to customise the page further, you will be able to use simple tools that make it easy and quick to brand your content, and enter all the essential information for your project.
Based on data about backer user trends, our video builder will use your project’s key information, prototype and any existing content to create a basic and free explainer video.
2. Access Thousands Of Professionals On The Acorn Marketplace
Founders can browse the marketplace to find the services they need to support their campaign such as a video design company, marketing specialist, animation studios and more.
Third party companies will have their own page within the platform displaying detailing the service they offer, alongside examples, reviews and platform interaction.
3. Select From Most Useful Apps In The Tool Box
A range of apps will be available to founders on a free and paid for basis.
Based on crowdfunding data, these will include all of the most helpful apps for running a successful campaign such as design, social media, marketing, and email.
We’re partnering with market leaders to bring the best, and most accessible tools, to help founders reach success e.g Shopify and InVision.
4. Use Data To Promote Success
The platform’s crowdfunding engine will use data collected from past crowdfunding campaigns to give a founder the best chance of success.
By giving founders optional access to anonymised data about crowdfunding campaigns similar to theirs, they can make the ‘right’ decisions about the tools and services they can use to market their project to their optimum audience.
5. View All Campaign Actions On Your Personalised Activity Feed
Both founders and backers will have their own personalised activity feed showing updates and activity from timelines of projects that you’ve backed, or are watching, as well as activity from any projects you are running yourself. Founders can also choose to promote selected posts to boost their visibility to relevant backers.
Backers will also be able to see a founder’s timeline showing all project activity, from updating project milestones, to uploading pictures of project progress and updates. This will add an extra layer of openness to the backer-founder relationship.
6. See Your Project’s Transparency Ledger
Because Acorn is blockchain-based, everything a founder does can be recorded and used as proof that they are working towards project delivery.
This gives backers reassurance that the project is genuine, and enables our innovative milestone fund release program — where tranches of the crowdfunding raise are released only upon meeting certain pre-determined criteria verified by backers.
Projects are awarded trust ratings depending on delivering on their milestones, and project updates during the project delivery stage.
7. Seamless Payments System
Our seamless payments application means that backers can pledge OAK to projects easily and smoothly. No need for converting currency as this will be automatically handled by us.
We create a wallet and buy OAK tokens on the backer’s behalf, leaving no need for backers to own or trade in cryptocurrency.
