Even though self care should be practiced daily from emotional, physical and spiritual standpoints, Sundays should be days you give yourself added grace and extra tender care for the week you’ve had. With “Self Care Picks,” we select songs from the previous week to help give you that refresh that your mind, body and soul deserve. Also included are three additional songs that accent the forms of self care needed for an additional boost to provide you with all you may require for what lies ahead in the week to come.

Magical’ — Finding something special is rare but when things shift into a pattern to make life it is a work of magic as is the latest collaboration from Afrobeat sensation, Olisae. Giving the essence of Africa in a blissful state over a perfectly arranged track, this song gets better with each play through unlocking something different within each time it is played.

Requiem’ — A voice that sends chills up your spine, Khamari delivers an astonishing performance on a soulful odyssey from his freshly released project “A Brief Nirvana.” Not ready for his soul to rest in peace, each note of this harmonious art can be vibrated from head to toe and is only an offering of what the entire masterpiece consists of. Proving that R&B can come from individuals in unexpected packages, Khamari is an artist that should be on your radar along with other selections from this talented individual.

Miracle’ — Letting listeners know that feelings are expensive, Mannywellz recounts an encounter that has left him in awe. Unlike many past meetings, this one in particular has him falling in love with a stranger and he sees no problem with it. Praying for many things, this unexpected blessing is a miracle that he seems to be most grateful for and in true artistic form he’s penned a song to make note of that.

Safe’ — Putting your spirit at ease, Brivon turns water into wine and casual words into your next favorite song. Making the simplest of things in life feel like timeless works of art, this song captures the energy of what it is like to be in the moment of something great as it is being created and that alone is quite magnificent and gives this replay ability for some time to come.

Say It Like’ — Not playing it nice, Sarina has you in a trance as she puts lovely vocals over top an upbeat tropical bass activating the inner dance phenom from in your soul. Moving past the traditional Pop songs about falling in love, there is something that Sarina brings to this track that makes it stand alone and gets you prepared for more to come. A perfect placement to open up to a Summer ahead, you’ll be left wanting to play it like it’s new each and every time.
