Never thought I would be here writing something, something about what I’ve learnt in last one decade of my life. I have heard people saying that life is beautiful and have always lived my life with one rule, ‘If you want to be the happiest, you have to do the most for others’.

Little did I know that life is unfair.

The world won’t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something before you do something good to yourself. The hard working janitor will be respected less than the arrogant stockbroker in our ‘beautiful’ world. A cancer researcher is rewarded less than a supermodel. Social workers are taken less seriously than the entertainers. Why? You almost never marry the love of your life. We never seem to get what we deserve, and we rarely deserve what we get. Why?

You, some time may feel that you’re the ‘most gentle and loving person’, ‘very caring friend’, ‘a hard working student’, but at the end people are going to judge you by their own definitions and not by your perception of yourself.

So what makes a good life? If you want to invest in the future best self where would you put your time and efforts?

The problem fully isn’t that life is unfair, it’s also our broken idea of fairness. Life was not designed for those who try once and then give up. Life is designed for someone who keep on trying until they get what they want. If you think you are a good person you shouldn’t let this world change you. Your head should be full of knowledge, heart to love someone, ear ready to listen and hand willing to help others. You should always try to put yourself in a good position to beat this unfair world.

One last thing is facing the reality. Facing that reality might just be the key to unlock your understanding of the world. Life is not fair — just get used to it!
