Do you have a DIY project or want to write for TheBootStrapMaker? Now is your chance! Our writing guidelines are below:

Images

We want images that are either of your project or a custom designed thumbnail. Please make sure that the image is HD, i.e. 1280*720, 2560*1440, etc. If you need to crop the image before uploading, please do so.

Subject

We want the topic to be DIY or project related. We don’t want any controversial topics such as biohacking, anything sexual, or weapons. We also don’t want to do VR on this blog given it is an over-saturated topic and doesn’t flow as nicely with the entire DIY theme.

We are usually very lenient in terms of what we will accept, but if it doesn’t follow the guidelines or you are unsure, please seek out pre-approval.

We reserve the right to reject an article as we see fit, and a majority of the time leave a private editorial note explaining why.

Rules of Thumb:

  1. Have proper grammar and English
  2. Have a high quality image
  3. Secondary sources are best represented through hyperlinks for blog posts
  4. Nothing too controversial or illegal
  5. Make sure you are adding value to the reader and try following a project build or showcase/maker type theme

If you have read this, and want to be added as a writer, comment “Add me as a writer!” below.
