More than $10bn worth of road projects are on in Delhi-NCR region.

Romans built roads to facilitate military. They also built roads in regions they had acquired, which were not developed. Thousand years later, roads are still paying off.

Recently 6 lane, 10km long expressway opened between Ghaziabad and Delhi. The commute has come down to 10 minutes from 1hr.
More the roads, more the benefits:
- Even density of population has less load on resources. Mumbai has one of the highest density, which the current resources can not bear.
- Increase in economic activity, as more people can travel. Also, goods can travel between consumers and suppliers.
- Future rate of return of roads increases as the region earns more, and capital expenditure is absorbed. So, it makes sense to connect all the corners of Delhi-NCR with good roads.
Planned projects of Delhi-NCR:
- INR 8000 crore worth of projects for Gurgaon, Delhi and NH8. It includes Dwarika expressway, and other extension expressways to Badshahpur and Dhaula Kuan.
- INR 11,000 crore Eastern Peripheral Expressway will be inaugurated this month. 135 long highway will connect Palwal, Gauram Budh Nagar, Faridabad and Ghaziabad.
- INR 6000 cror Delhi Meerut Expressway will make 96 km journey a breeze. First phase got over in 14 months against the scheduled 30 months.
- INR 1500 crore Gurgaon Sohna expressway whas yet to start.
- INR 500 crore new ring roads for Delhi will help decongest traffic. Detailed project report is with the ministry.
- INR 37000 crore twin corridors; Gurugram to Rewari and Delhi to Sonipat
- 5 Projects by Delhi Government such as North South corridor, elevated corridor to Greater Noida, elevated road from Ashram to badarpur.

- He can be the next Prime Minister.
- He is trebled the road construction.
- He was instrumental in building India’s first expressway between Mumbai and Pune.
