Amanpreet chose to stay in India instead of settling down in Canada. She is a full-time farmer in Punjab. 76% of Indian farmers want to give up farming in India.

Amanpreet is a model farmer and a student from Sangrur, Punjab. As a kid she helped her father and learned farming. For the past three years she has been farming full time. She convinced her father to stop burning the crop to bring down the pollution. She wrote her IELTS and got the offer to study in Canada. Instead, she chose to stay in Punjab and farm. She is helping her family and villagers to adopt environment friendly farming techniques.

There is a reverse trend, where city dwellers are opting to farm. Neha and Vahishta have shifted to Palani Hills in Tamilnadu to start The Habitat Homestead. They plan to become self sufficient in terms of food. Beforest is a farming venture, which allows city people to co-own farmlands. Sumit resigned from Airbnb to grow mushrooms. Kush founded Harame , which offers urban farming solutions.
