Single outlet cafes and restaurants can benefit from distinctive branding. Customers tend to recall brands with distinctive branding. It is also your promise to your customers.

5 key things matter.
One, focus on cliched vision and mission statement. Share your plan for the future and and how you plan to achieve it.
Two, fit into the location, by reflecting its characteristics. A residential area is not the right fit for large restaurants and cafes.
Three, focus on the target audience. Shape the brand around them.
Four, the name of the business should reflect the concept. Avoid hard to pronounce and long to remember names.
Five, brand code matters such as logo, colours and patterns. They also decide the aesthetics of the outlet.

As per Entrepreneur: Do your research. Learn the needs, habits and desires of your current and prospective customers. And don’t rely on what you think they think. Know what they think.

It suggests answering the following questions to define the brand.

1. What is your company’s mission?
2. What are the benefits and features of your products or services?
3. What do your customers and prospects already think of your company?
4. What qualities do you want them to associate with your company?
