We Work has CWeO ( Chief We Office), not CEO 😕

Karan Virwani ( India’s CWeO) gave an interview to Inc 42 magazine.

All his answers followed a pattern:
For every question he picked up following words as hubs.
1. Community
2. Technology
3. Design
Then, answers had subsequent spokes. For example, the hub word community had spoke words such as collaborative, youth, culture.

Why?

• It’s expanding like Uber did, to ramp up valuation.
• It scooped up funds from Masayoshi Son.
• It acquired Meetup, but messed it up.

Also, a loss making profitable company:
Their last year’s revenue doubled, but losses mounted. They also coined a new term for EBITDA; community adjusted EBITDA. It was a con job to ignore expenses to become profitable.
