Altcoin News: IBM Is Ready to Collaborate with Facebook on the Development of Libra

IBM is open to working with Facebook on the creation of stablecoin Libra, reports CNBC.
According to the general manager of IBM blockchain services Jason Kelley, the company aims to increase the level of cooperation in the field of distributed registry technology.
“Blockchain is a team sport,” he said. — “Our clients are ready to work with (Facebook) and we’re ready to work with all of them to bring it together.”
Kelley did not specify whether IBM is interested in joining the Libra Association but noted that the Facebook initiative is indeed contributing to the development of technology. At the same time, he hastened to distance himself from cryptocurrencies and switch to tokenization of real-world assets, including fiat currencies and stocks. Libra is supposed to become a tokenized form of a basket of national currencies.
“We talk about libra and people say it’s just another crypto,” he said. “Set crypto aside and talk about tokenization, because that’s what we’re talking about,” he added.
On account of IBM, the development of its own blockchain platform, which, according to the company, allows “to increase transparency in everything from the banking industry to the management of supply chains.”
In August, IBM introduced a new project in the blockchain field “Trust Your Supplier”, which included Cisco, Lenovo, Nokia and others.
