Ben Askren, a former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter and crypto supporter, changed the display name on his Twitter account to “Bitcoin Halving May 13”. Askren’s Twitter account has over 311,000 followers.

The name and date refer to the reduction of remuneration for a block (halving) in the bitcoin network from 12.5 BTC to 6.25 BTC.

Earlier, Askren repeatedly promoted Bitcoin on his Twitter. Askren was also paid for promoting ofLitecoin (LTC). In January 2019, he announced that he was sponsored by the Litecoin Foundation at UFC 235 and posted a video on his Instagram in a T-shirt labeled “Litecoin.”
