Bringing the dead back to life is no pretty sight and Re-Animator holds nothing back in expressing that. Its use of special effects and make up greatly reflects how grisly and messy corpses can be when brought back to life, which only makes the film more charming. Director Stuart Gordon delivers one of his most well known Lovecraft adaptations with this film, and it would rightfully go on to become a cult classic as well as required viewing for any horror fan.

Synopsis: A medical student works on a serum that is able to bring the dead back to life.
